PGS-SHT-001: 3 Days to Bwindi Gorilla Tracking

This 3 days safari to Bwindi forest national park allows you to track Gorillas in their natural habitat. The safari starts and ends from Kampala.

Day 1: Kampala Bwindi
GorillaIn the morning after your early breakfast, your driver who doubles as your guide as well will pick you from your hotel/residence in Kampala/Entebbe to drive you to the South western part of the country to Bwindi Forest national park for Gorilla Tracking. Bwindi Forest hosts around 326 mountain Gorillas half of the world’s surviving Mountain Gorillas, In Bwindi there are 6 Gorilla families that have been habituated for gorilla Tracking,  You will drive through the Ankole Region, will have a stopover in Mbarara town thereafter continue to Bwindi forest national park, arrival will be in the evening check in at Buhoma Lodge for Luxury, Kitandara Tented Camp for Upmarket and Buhoma community  Camp  for Middle and Budget options, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking  
In the morning after breakfast and with your packed lunch will be driven to the park headquarters for briefing and allocation of guide before starting on this life time adventure, Registration and believing starts at 0745 local time and at 08.30 start on the adventure. Time taken while tracking gorillas ranges from a few hours to a whole day depending on the movement of these gentle giants, have awesome time with these gorillas for an hour when you meet, after you have enjoyed this time, taking photographs you will be directed and will trace back to your starting point thereafter will meet your guide who will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

gorillaBefore you come for Gorilla tracking prepare your jungle shoes suitable for steep muddy slopes and carry rain jackets because the forest is a tropical forest thus you cannot rule out the fact that it can shower any time in the day, thus you need this jacket to protect your equipments like cameras for example, carry sunscreen lotion and insect repellant.

Day 3: Bwindi to Kampala
In the morning after breakfast will you will be driven back to Kampala, with lunch stopover on the way will have a stopover at the equator and at Mbambire in Mpigi as us see people making different crafts including drums, stools among others in case you have enough time, will after continue to Kampala to drop you at your hotel. Or continue driving to Entebbe Airport in case you have your flight that same day. This flight should be above 18Hrs. End of Safari.
