PGS-SHT-007: 2 Days Lake Mburo National Park:
This 2 days short safari starts and ends in Kampala will allow you to visit lake Mburo national park for game drives, nature walks, as well as boat ride on the lake.
Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo NP.
In the morning after your early breakfast, your driver who doubles as your guide as well will pick you from your hotel/residence in Kampala/Entebbe to drive you to the western part of the country to Lake Mburo national park, will have a stopover on the way at the equator for snap shootings and thereafter continue and enter the park through Nsala gate which is 13kms passed Lyantonde town, Lake Mburo national park is a 4 Hours drive from Kampala and small as it is, its endowed with a variety of wildlife species including the 68 different mammal species with the common ones including the zebras, impalas, buffaloes, elads as well as some predators like leopards and hyenas. The Park has also got 315 species of birds including the rare shoe bill stork, papyrus warbler, saddle billed stork, brown chested wattled plover, tabora, ground hone bill among others, do a game drive in the park.
In the evening will go for a boat ride on the lake, boat rides on the lake during the the 2-hour voyage will allow you to watch crocodile and hippopotamus as well as different bird species including pelicans, heron, cormorant and fish eagle and perhaps even the rare shoebill stork. After this will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Lake Mburo national Park to Kampala.
In the morning, will do Guided walks explore the park around Rwonyo, culminating in a visit to a natural salt lick frequented by wildlife. Viewing is facilitated by a timber observation platform, after this will also do another game drive as you drive to check out of the park, will drive through the Nsala gate once again continue driving back to Kampala. End of Safari.
